Bookkeeper Position

Non-exempt part-time position


Conditions of employment:

  • 25 hours per week 
  • Hourly rate of $12 – $14  


Primary Function:

This position exists to advance the goals of Christ Community Church by serving CCC in financial record keeping by assisting the Office Manager and the Finance and Administrative Assistant for the glory of Jesus Christ in His Church.



  • Count weekly church offering and create teller committee report according to Teller Committee guidelines
  • Process all incoming checks and gifts
  • Receive, submit for approval and process bills
  • Assist in processing monthly payroll and execute direct deposit
  • Submit payroll tax liability forms, state and federal, and make appropriate payments
  • Calculate and submit sales tax returns
  • Calculate and pay all monthly designated and budgeted gifts
  • Make general ledger journal entries and adjustments as needed
  • Compute and distribute employee reimbursements
  • Order, help prepare and mail out year-end W-2’s, W-3’s, 1099’s and 1096
  • Receive, acknowledge, and disburse memorial and designated fund gifts
  • File invoices, statements and check requests


Other Duties include but are not restricted to:

  • Assist office staff as needed as time permits with approval from supervisor
  • Perform mutually agreed upon tasks as requested by supervisor



  • Supervised by Office Manager 
  • Participates in annual evaluation with mid-year review
  • May participate in annual training event as approved by supervisor
  • Works interdependently alongside colleagues
