2 Corinthians 3:17-18

  1. Is there a person who came alongside you that changed your perspective on things? …who taught you something that opened you to a whole new world or hobby or interest? …who pointed you to Jesus?
  2. How would you describe your relationship to the Holy Spirit? What do you find weird or awkward talking about the Spirit?
  3. How would you describe to a non-believer what the Holy Spirit is and does?
  4. Jesus calls the Spirit, “The Helper” or “Comforter.” When is a time you’ve experienced the Holy Spirit in this way?
  5. Old covenant life is marked by an endless obligation to a Law that we could never keep. Does your Christian faith ever feel like that? Do you ever find you slide back into old covenant thinking, believing God is only found on Sunday mornings?
  6. Where do you feel the presence of God the Spirit most? Is there a story of experiencing the closeness of God’s presence?
  7. The Holy Spirit brings the freedom in the power of the Gospel. What is it a freedom from? What is it a freedom for?
  8. What freedom would you like the Holy Spirit to bring to you?
  9. What does it mean to live to the glory of God? How does the Spirit help rearrange our priorities?
