Are you growing in your faith? If so, share what has fostered a closer relationship with Jesus? If not, what do you think is hindering your growth?
Can you name a time where growing in Christ happened at a rapid pace? Can you name a season where Jesus seemed remote and growth seemed stagnant?
What is the danger of treating salvation purely as a ticket into heaven/a “get out of hell free” card? What do we miss out on?
How is your walk with Jesus these days? What are steps/choices you could make that would draw you closer to Him?
What do you think it means to be spiritually “root bound”? How can we get “repotted” so that we will begin to grow again? Where are you seeking spiritual nourishment these days?
What are the bricks (values, ideals, etc.) you are using to “build up” your life? What are the truths about God and the Gospel that provide the best “building materials” to being “built up” in Him?
What does spiritual maturity look like? Can you think of an example of someone who is spiritually mature? What is it about them that leads you to see that maturity? Where is God calling your faith to be matured (cured or hardened like concrete)?
What is the role of gratitude in growing our faith? How can we practice gratitude even when life is hard?
Why is growing in faith important? How does it help us not just survive but thrive in this present cultural moment?
