Sermon Questions: Ephesians 2:1-10
Pastor David Taylor
- Read (or sing!) the words Amazing Grace. What line or verse touches you most deeply?
- How does someone become a Christian? (Share the gospel in your own words)
- Share your testimony! How did you first experience the gospel? Who showed you what grace looks like? How are you different now than you were before you accepted Jesus?
- “The gospel is fundamental to the Christian faith.” Do you think this is true? Why or why not?
- What do you think it means that we were “dead in our trespasses and sins.” How would you put that in your own words?
- If the gospel is about what God does (and not what we do), how might that set you free?
- Share an illustration (real or in a movie, book, etc.) of someone who did not get what they deserved and it changed them for the better.
- “The gospel that saves us is the gospel that keeps saving us.” What does it look like for the gospel of grace to continue to minister to you?
- How does the gospel give you what you need to love your enemy and/or forgive the unforgivable?
